The concept of sustainable development applied to the construction sector results in the need to design and construct buildings capable of limiting the impact on the environment.

The awareness of the importance of safeguarding the natural environment in which our residences are inserted is one of the guiding principles of the Futura residences' design and takes the form of two fundamental objectives: the quality and the saving of the resources employed and the minimization of the production of pollution in the entire life cycle of a building.

With this in mind, Futura is constantly looking for constructive and design solutions able to guarantee the best living quality not only to the current users of its residences, but also to future ones, considering that the resources are not unlimited and that the waste and the pollution can represent a serious handicap for the next generations.

For these reasons, Futura favors for its constructions the use of materials not only qualitatively valid, but also natural and eco-compatible, and is particularly attentive to the management of the most critical phase of a building as regards the consumption of energy, ie the period of its active use: in a period corresponding to three generations, heating, hot water production and lighting account for at least 90% of the total energy consumption referred to the complete life cycle of a building..

Consistent with these data, the choice of renewable energy heating systems seems fundamental: the heating plants installed in the Futura residences use biomass as fuel (wood pellets, wood chips, split wood) obtained from the wood of local woods or from wood from plants to rapid growth.

In addition to heating, remotely controlled according to modern principles of home automation, these renewable energy plants produce hot water, which in the snowfall season is also used to heat the access ramps to the basements.

As a complement to the biomass plants, the Futura residences are equipped with photovoltaic systems for the production of electricity for the benefit of the users, with exchange on site, to which the condominium electrical services are connected (thermal power plant, elevator, stair lights, lighting external).
